Since 2008, the International Trade Union Confederation, (ITUC) has been organising the World Day for Decent Work (WDDW), the 7th October and takes place on Friday. Cosatu has organised a one-strike action in support of several demands. The ITUC also organises activities across the globe involving over 100 countries and millions of people for this day. In today’s show we find out more about the importance of this day that’s dedicated to decent work and how it’s being taken up in South Africa and the region.
